"United we stand, divided we fall". Even just a small change by a single person can lead to a bigger change in the future.
1. Listen with the intent to understand.
2. Be helpful to others when you can (help your neighbor with their groceries, walk their dog, clean up their yard).
3. Meditate and invite others to meditate.
4. Study nonviolence, ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution), Conflict Management, Conflict Resolution, Peace studies.
5. Learn another language.
6. Reduce your carbon foot print (walk or bike, car pool, recycle, eat more fruits and vegetables).
7. Volunteer with the Peace Corps.
8. Volunteer at a homeless shelter.
9. Write to your politician/representative.
10. Take interest in your city, attend council meetings.
11. Make a personal commitment to nonviolence.
12. If you are a member of a religious community, ask how you can get more involved.
13. Start a collection to donate to a charity.
14. Organize a community project (clean up, plant a garden).
15. Attend a meditation or conflict resolution training.
16. Read books about peace.
17. Say “I am sorry”.
